A lenten reminder

You have to be tired in church. It is the least you can do for Jesus Christ; He died on the Cross for us.

Good word. I'll remember that next time my feet get sore after standing through Matins and Liturgy next Sunday.

Hmmm... I think that I could completely go the wrong direction with that. I sometimes think that the least I could do it so be a better steward of my time and to be more responsible and to go to bed. But that's another story completely isn't it!

I love Fr. Roman! I only met him once, during Lent two years ago, but I'll never forget my time with him! He's just one of those people who kind of sticks with ya.

Some more good church advice.
One of the churches I go has a lot of members that have to commute and the priest once said, "If you can die for Christ, you can drive for Christ".

Yes, Fr. Roman is great. Unfortunately when I met him I didn't get to talk to him personally. I didn't really put forth the effort and we were there on a busy weekend. But he did give a talk that was very good about how Greeks aren't here in America just to have restaraunts... (there was a group of Greek women there for a retreat)

Josina- I'm always shocked by how little effort many people are willing to put into making it to Church...I guess part of that may come from having grown up going to Church EVERY Sunday...I probably missed about 5 times in the 17 years I was at home years...

Eric- there once was a time when I was used to standing 3 hours for vigil every Saturday. I miss the vigil...
